Forgefix Concrete Frame Screw Torx Compatible High-Low Thread Zinc Yellow Passivated 7.5 x 152mm Box 100 – FORCFS152 Details
The Forgefix Concrete Frame Screws are a versatile through-fixing screw for many applications in DIY, Joinery, Plumbing and Electrical trades offering a virtually stress free fixing that allows for close to edge applications. With a high-low thread, the zinc yellow passivated screw finish is suitable for increased resistance to corrosion with a Torx head making the screws compatible and extremely popular fixings for windows and door frames.
The Zinc Yellow Passivation process of electroplating is similar to the ‘Galvanised’ and ‘Zinc Plated’ processes but with the addition of a yellow dye. It offers an aesthetically pleasing finish, whilst having excellent resistance to corrosion. By design, TORX compatible head screws resist cam-out much better than Phillips or Slotted screws. Where Phillips heads were designed to cause the driver to cam out, to prevent over-tightening, TORX® compatible heads were designed to prevent it and to achieve a desired torque consistently.
